The year is 2144, and the world is powered by sport – politically and practically. Each community owes its success or otherwise to the success of its groups and athletes. A person’s class is determined by their aptitude for sport. Once their useful lifestyle as an athlete provides expired, they are placed in stasis at an age predetermined by that course. However, not in Wales. Separated from all of those other world by an enormous wall structure, the Welsh still play video games for joy. They play, they carouse, they like, they pass away. They have a great time. Of all the Welsh, the best sportsman is an unreconstructed genius known as Ivon. When the chance arises to become the initial Welshman to combination the great divide into England, he cannot resist. His parents, who were exiled from England before he was created, know very well what London will do to him. They are desperate to possess him back again. But London will not give up an asset like Ivon so easily. Ivon can be a special event of where sport has come from and a satire on where it really is going.
