Gallifrey is in a state of problems, facing destruction as a result of an overwhelming foe. And the physician can be involved with three different incarnations – each swept up in a fatal adventure, spread across time and space. The web of time is normally threatened – and somebody wants the Doctor dead. The three incarnations of the Doctor must join together to set period back on the right track – however in doing so, will they unleash a still higher threat?
