Two thousand years back, a volcanic eruption wiped the Roman city of Pompeii from the face of the planet earth. In addition, it buried the Doctor’s TARDIS… Arriving in Pompeii one day before the catastrophe, the Doctor and Mel find themselves separated off their dispatch and entangled in regional politics. As period runs out, they combat to escape from the shadow of Mount Vesuvius. But how can they succeed when background itself is working against them?
