Ray and Alice are Deathland Buggers: the types who, following the destruction of the world, found it impossible to connect to others, and became a competition of wandering murderers. Far from being a mindful choice, however, Buggers basically can’t control their inborn urge to murder, so they usually travel solo. When Alice and Ray inadvertantly stumble across each other in the Deathlands, they need to decide whether to give into their desire to murder each other or not really. Their dance of death is interrupted–first by a unusual plane, appearing from the center of nowhere, after that by a chatty, congenial stranger named Pop who also appears from nowhere. Jointly, the three of them embark on a trip to escape from your Deathlands which has completely unintended implications.
