Two years have passed since Jed Welch escaped the ruins of NEW YORK. The monsters possess begun vanishing from elements of the world, and rebuilding initiatives are underway. Isolated communities and their militias are starting over, gradually reclaiming towns and countryside alike.

Now a sergeant, Jed prospects a squad providing security in Galveston Island, because they await the arrival of the first refugee boats. When a saboteur’s bomb threatens everything, Jed and his people find themselves cut off from support and conversation.
