Abbott and Costello were probably one of the most popular duo comedy teams ever sold on radio and tv. William (Bud) as Abbott and Lou Costello (created Louis Francis Cristillo).

Both comedians first worked collectively in 1935 on the Eltinge Burlesque Theater on 42nd Street in NY.

They became famous for their most popular act, ‘Who’s on First?’ whose rapid-fire phrase play and comprehension confusion place the preponderant construction for some of their best-known routines.
