Summary:
Marcus, a.k.a “w1n5t0n,” is seventeen years of age, but he numbers he already knows how the program works-and how exactly to work the machine. Smart, fast, and smart to the ways of the networked globe, he does not have any difficulty outwitting his high school’s intrusive but clumsy surveillance systems.
But his whole world shifts when he and his friends end up caught in the aftermath of a major terrorist attack on San Francisco. In the incorrect place at the wrong time, Marcus and his team are apprehended with the Section of Homeland Protection and whisked apart to a secret jail where they’re mercilessly interrogated for times.
When the DHS finally releases them, Marcus discovers that his city has turned into a police state where every citizen is treated like a potential terrorist. He knows that no-one will believe his tale, which leaves him only 1 option: to remove the DHS himself.
