Lama – as well as the robotic Yeti are merely its lethal servants… The Web of Dread: After narrowly avoiding being swept up inside a web-like compound on its trip through space, the TARDIS comes in the tunnels of the London Underground, only to find that the net is there as well – as may be the Great Intelligence’s Yeti… Facing the marauding monsters can be Patrick Troughton as the second Doctor, in escapades set in Tibet and London. Linking narration is usually supplied by Frazer Hines, who also has Jamie in the stories. The Web of Fear marks the 1st appearance of Alistair Lethbridge-Stewart, a colonel in the British Army but quickly to be promoted to Brigadier of UNIT, who became among the programme’s best-loved and most recognisable characters.
