Today at least one of them is stirring once again, dreaming of vengeance against humankind. Southmarch haunts the dreams of men as well as gods. Royal twins Barrick and Briony Eddon, the heirs of Southmarch’s ruling family members, are hurrying back aswell: Barrick now carries the heritage of the immortal Qar inside him, and Briony has a small army at her back again and a about Shadowheart fiery determination to recover her father’s throne and revenge herself over the usurpers. The cruel and effective southern ruler known as the Autarch of Xis desires the power of the gods for his very own, a power he can only just gain if he conquers Southmarch. And no one knows the actual Qar want, only that the inexplicable fairy – folk are ready to die for it – or to eliminate every living thing in Southmarch Castle and in all the lands around. It’ll come to an apocalyptic summary on Midsummer Night, when the spirits from the haunted past as well as the eager struggles of the present come together in one great final fight. Many will die.
