With an innate feeling he cannot show himself or explain to others, he is able to hook up to the agricultural world, nurturing backyards to flourish and about Od Magic instinctively understanding the healing properties each flower and herb provides. But Brenden’s present isolates him from his community, until the time he receives a personal invitation in the wizard Od. She requires a gardener on her behalf school in the great town of Kelior, where every potential wizard must be trained to provide the Kingdom of Numis.

For decades, the rulers of Numis have controlled the school, believing they can support the power within it. They punish any wizard who dares defy the law.
