Rita and Rosie Stevens are only nine and five years of age when their widowed mother marries a violent bully. Under great pressure from her fresh husband, she actually is persuaded to send out the girls for an orphanage. It is not long before the forces that be decide to send a consignment of orphans with their sister organization in Australia.
