A 12 months has passed because the Mayhem Influx reshaped the world, erasing most of its population and replacing civilization with random artifacts of advanced technology and magic.

Harrison Cody today works as a special agent for the federal government of New Chicago, taking advantage of his newfound ability to open any lock. When an expedition is launched to look for the origin from the Mayhem Wave, Harrison joins them.

In their travels, they learn of other nations which have arisen in the ashes of the old world, not all of these friendly. They discover the ruins of a once-great city and the possible way to obtain the wave, the task of a man acting alone, with uncertain motives.

The reality of their quest lies in an enemy of unfathomable power, whose plans for the planet earth and its people are not yet complete. Harrison may possess the answer to avoiding the carnage to arrive, but the option will come with a sacrifice as well great for him to endure.
