Fifteen year-old Miri lives in a desert community called Boreala, which competes with the town of Stratos for Rain the same as Holy Water. During a confrontation while gathering Rain, Miri accidentally kills a resident of Stratos, and unintentionally starts a heinous battle. Now it really is up to her to find the God of Rainfall, Kalono, and ask Him for an invention that may bring both serenity and war before Boreala is destroyed.
