Not many can say these were burned by destiny. I’m the exclusion.

Scalded figuratively, emotionally, and physically… I’ve the scars working down my arm, ribs, and part to verify it.

The doctors did what they are able to to heal me by smoothing the abraded epidermis using other parts of my body. But they can only just do so very much. Sometimes, what can’t be seen can not be healed.

The fire that night took greater than a pound of flesh. It obliterated my skill, beauty, and most importantly, seared the bond about Fate I put with the man I treasured. Sure, it had been me who pushed him apart, but I had my reasons. I did so what any girl would do in my situation. I quit everything in order that 1 day he’d find pleasure and peace.

Today I’ve healed a bit on the outside, and inside, but I still crave the main one I release. To this day he talks about me with open fire in his eye, a heat therefore bright in his being he glows with it. I dread the light, the flames that could consume me whole. The problem now is, he’s not really mine anymore. I just may have waited too much time to fight for him, for all of us, for a future together.

There’s only one thing I can do. Let fate decide.
