Benedikt Sings the most effective water in the kingdom, but drinking water is the only Quarter Benedikt can sing, which isolates him in the Bardic Captain and his fellow Bards. When the Queen of Shkoder clothes a voyage to find the lands over the sea against the Bardic Captain’s objections, Benedikt is the only Bard ready to fearless the Captain’s wrath and volunteer.

In uncharted waters, a storm strikes as well as the kigh from the deep seas rise. All of Benedikt’s skill is unable to conserve ship or team. Shipwrecked in an unfamiliar country and struggling to send out term to Shkoder from the ship’s destiny, Benedikt must play the part he’s been given: a pawn in the overall game of politics and religion between brother and sister – who both plan to use his Song with their advantage.
