In this function, beloved mythologist Joseph Campbell explores the area Age. He posits the newly discovered laws of outer space are in fact within us aswell, and that a new mythology is definitely implicit in that realization. But what’s this new mythology? How do we identify it? Campbell explores these questions in the concluding article, “The Way of Artwork,” in which he demonstrates that metaphor is the vocabulary of art and argues that within the psyches of today’s performers are the seeds of tomorrow’s mythologies.
