Brilliantly manipulative and completely amoral, the hero-villain Richard is one of Shakespeare’s greatest roles.

The Yorkists have emerged victorious through the civil wars and Edward IV wears the British crown. But Edward’s misshapen sibling Richard harbors kingly ambitions and can stop at nothing at all to achieve the throne. In a fatal fight on Bosworth Field, Richard meets the ghosts of all whom he offers murdered as well as the Earl of Richmond, the near future King Henry VII.

Richard III is usually played by David Troughton. Saskia Wickham takes on Lady Anne, Margaret Robertson takes on Queen Margaret, and Philip Voss is certainly Buckingham.
