Prospero, smart Duke of Milan, continues to be deposed by Antonio, his wicked brother, and exiled with his child Miranda to a mysterious island. But Prospero possesses supernatural power. Along with the heart Ariel, Prospero uses his magical art to create his foes under his control.

Prospero is played by Bob Peck, Ariel by Adrian Lester, Jennifer Ehle is Miranda, Simon Russell Beale is Antonio, Jamie Glover is Ferdinand, and Richard McCabe takes on Caliban.
