Forty-Two Stories by Douglas Post is a humor about life within a high-rise condo. A professional pupil from the School of Chicago is usually moonlighting as janitor. A stressed-out apartment manager reaches odds with the residents and on the edge of the nervous breakdown. And a motley assortment of other staff members struggles with success when confronted with metropolitan pandemonium and with the actual fact that one of these could be breaking in to the units and stealing females’s underwear.
