Jimmy Porter barely ekes out a full time income running a chocolate stall by day and using jazz trumpet simply by night time. Although he usually takes his frustrations from his emotionless wife, Jimmy’s scathing tongue and self-loathing seems destined to destroy everything.

Set in the united kingdom on the dawn of the 60’s sociable unrest, this savage morality story spawned the expression “angry young man.”
