“Have you ever seen a ghost, Mr. Holmes?” asks Victoria Temple, and Sherlock Holmes, on the height of his powers in 1898, must encounter a new challenge, one that plunges the great detective in to the realm of the supernatural. Miss Temple has been found guilty-but also insane-at her trial for murdering a child under her treatment. She is locked apart in the Broadmoor lunatic asylum, and even worse still, she thinks fully in her personal guilt. But were the hauntings on the Elizabethan manor house of Bly a vision about Sherlock Holmes and the Spirits of Bly from the walking dead, perhaps, instead of delusions of her tormented brain? Or could it be that a legal conspiracy is to blame for the psychic phenomena, as well as a second murder cunningly hidden in the past?

Together with Dr. Watson, the indefatiguable Holmes will locate the perpetrators through the occult underworld of Victorian London.

Next, over the eve of World War I, Holmes is certainly met with fraud and forgery on the Royal Naval Academy in “THE SITUATION of a Boy’s Honor.” While back London, behind the moments from the Herculaneum Theatre in the Strand, “The Case from the Matinee Idol” embroils Holmes and Watson straight in an apparent onstage murder. How do poison get into two Shakespearean goblets when only the victim, today dead, had usage of them and the most likely suspect was a mile away with an unthinkable alibi?
