Keith Reddin’s study of the early career of Richard Nixon. Set in a suite in the Beverly Hillsides Resort, a paranoid Dick Nixon is an idealistic youthful congressman who is ambivalent about resorting to a monumentally underhanded “dirty trick”. This was orchestrated by Nixon’s conniving marketing campaign official Roy Day time against his Democratic opponent, Congresswoman Helen Gahagan Douglas-the so-called ‘Red Female’. Nixon’s success launches his profession as a politician. A Goodman Theatre co-production.
