David and Isaac have present happiness in each other’s arms. In faraway SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, Isaac’s sibling Aaron assists them explore confusing ‘British’ existence and move beyond the looming shadow of their Amish origins. For the first time, David and Isaac could be openly gay, yet they battle to reconcile their sexuality using their trust. At least they don’t really have to conceal their relationship, which should make everything less difficult. Right?

But while Isaac thrives at college and makes new close friends, David wrestles to come to terms with the reality of the exterior world. Haunted by guilt at departing his mother and sisters behind in Zebulon, he’s overwhelmed from the hustle and bustle of the town as he works to get his carpentry business off the ground.
