Shakespeare’s most imaginative and merry play is set in an enchanted timber amidst fairies and sprites.

When Oberon, Ruler from the Fairies, uses his magic upon four runaway lovers inside a midsummer real wood outdoors Athens, chaos ensues. Who really loves whom? In the meantime, a band of well-meaning but bungling local actors have thier rehearsal sabotaged with the mischievous Puck, who bewitches their innovator, Bottom level, and Titania, the Fairy Queen. The result is a exciting and anarchic humor which can just be resolved by a more elaborate disentangling of spells.

Hermia is played by Amanda Main, Oberon by David Harewood, and Bottom by Roy Hudd.
