An idealistic American diplomat hair horns with a mercurial Soviet negotiator throughout a series of conversations in the woods outside Geneva. As their shared a friendly relationship and understanding deepens, a knowledge that their work may ultimately end up being pointless casts a shadow over their hopes to accomplish a lasting peacefulness.
