Abbott and Costello were perhaps one of the most popular duo humor teams ever sold on radio and tv. William (Bud) as Abbott and Lou Costello (born Louis Francis Cristillo).

Both comedians first worked together in 1935 on the Eltinge Burlesque Theater on 42nd Street in New York.

They became well-known for their most popular act, ‘Who’s on First?’ whose rapid-fire term play and comprehension confusion place the preponderant construction for some of their best-known routines.
