Celeb Alan Ladd played Dan Holiday, retired newspaperman turned fiction writer and adventurer extraordinaire. To gain suggestions for his books, Holiday placed an ad in the Star-Times paper ‘Adventure needed – will go anywhere, perform anything – Package Thirteen.’ It wasn’t a long time before his Container Thirteen became jammed with activities galore. Holiday always had more experience than he had originally searched for, because those who responded to his ad hardly ever revealed all of their glorious, uncommon, and about Package Thirteen, Collection 2 sometimes sinister information until they met in person and the experience had already started. Silvia Picker played Holiday’s scatter-brained secretary, Suzy. Suzy added touches of humor towards the mystery-adventure and nail-biting storylines. Package Thirteen was produced by Mayfair Productions, a business run by Alan Ladd and Richard Sandville. The name originated from Mayfair Restaurant, which Ladd and Sandville possessed during WWII. Furthermore to producing Box Thirteen, Ladd also had written some of the scripts.
