Summary:
Comedian Bridget Christie pointed out that misogyny, like shiny leggings, has made an unexpected comeback. But achieved it ever really go away? Bridget Christie Minds the Gap is definitely a new stand-up humor series in the state of English feminism today.
In these four episodes, she asks why feminism became a dirty term and if the modern British female needs it. From a smell in a well known bookshop to a pencil designed specially for females, she looks at some of the even more ridiculous things associated with being a female. She also considers women and their day-to-day interactions with one another, via an organic herb puff treat, a church pew and a bag of dirty laundry. Furthermore, she ponders women’s relationship with their body with a lap dance, TOWIE and a fish called Michael. Through the entire series, Fred MacAuley helps her remember a number of the essential situations which brought her for an epiphany and a contact to arms.
Produced by Alison Vernon-Smith and Alexandra Smith.
