Summary:
A gang of thieves stage a daring heist from a secure vault deep below Princeton University’s Firestone Collection. Their loot is usually priceless, but Princeton has insured it for twenty-five million dollars.
Bruce Cable has a favorite bookstore in the sleepy vacation resort city of Santa Rosa on Camino Isle in Florida. He makes his real cash, though, being a prominent dealer in rare books. Very few people understand that he occasionally dabbles in the black market of stolen books and manuscripts.
Mercer Mann is certainly a novelist with a serious case of writer’s stop who has recently been let go from her teaching placement. She is contacted by an elegant, mystical woman working for a far more mystical company. A large offer of money convinces Mercer to go undercover and infiltrate Bruce Cable’s group of literary friends, ideally getting close enough to him to understand his secrets.
But ultimately Mercer learns far too very much, and there’s difficulty in paradise mainly because only John Grisham can deliver it.
