When Matt Johansson, a NY actor, auditions for Chapel of Ease, an off-Broadway musical, he is instantly charmed by Ray Parrish, the show’s writer and composer. As their a friendly relationship deepens, Matt learns that Ray’s people call themselves the Tufa which the musical is dependant on the history of his isolated hometown. As opening evening approaches, unusual things about Chapel of Ease begin to happen. A dreadlocked female follows and spies on Ray. On the press preview, a strange Tufa woman warns him to avoid the show. Then, as the rave evaluations arrive, Ray dies in his sleep.
