The play centres in the warrior Caius Marcius Coriolanus who, apart from his armed forces prowess and political alliances, supports the old patrician model of Roman authority and it is therefore totally out of touch using the needs of the ordinary people. This flaw in his personality makes for a great play and is performed by members from the Marlowe Company.
