A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI as well, and they suspect at fault is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned towards the investigation are applied for, the FBI requires a more personal interest in the event.

Unique Agent Ty Grady is usually pulled out of undercover work following his case blows up in his face. He’s cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the very best at what he does. However when he’s about Cut & Run paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it’s hate initially sight. Garrett is the ideal image of a realtor: severe, sober, and concentrated, making their partnership a vintage cliché: total opposites, great cop-bad cop, the odd few. They both understand immediately that their relationship will pose more of an obstacle compared to the lack of proof left with the murderer.

Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again – this time at them. Today away from home, trying to track down a man that has focused on eliminating his pursuers, Grady and Garrett will have to figure out how to interact before they become two more notches in the murderer’s blade.
