The long-planned raid within the heart of the Grik Empire has grown more ambitious-and dangerously ill-defined. Only Matthew Reddy, commander of the previous destroyer USS Walker, appears focused on its original purpose.

Many Lemurians see an opportunity to reconquer their sacred homeland, that was stolen way back when, and have no intention of simply impressive a blow and then pulling back again. Others, Lemurian and human being, have their very own agendas-which may possibly not be in the very best interests from the Alliance. Complicating matters further can be Reddy’s suspicion that his task force is being stalked by an unknown power bent on aiding the Grik for reasons of its own.

As the raid begins and chaos reigns, Reddy does not have any choice but to look all in, risking everything in a desperate act that results in a sprawling, nightmarish battle over the beaches of ‘Grik City,’ on the decks of Walker, and in the labyrinthine passageways from the Celestial Palace itself.

The ultimate cost could be more than Matt Reddy-or the Alliance-can bear.
