Summary:
First broadcast in 2007, Fags, Mags and Bags delivers shop-based shenanigans and over-the-counter philosophy, thanks to Ramesh Mahju and his trusty sidekick Dave. Ramesh has built his store up during the period of 30 years, which is a solidly entrenched feature of the local area. He is ably helped by Dave, a forty-something underachiever who stocks Ramesh’s love of the art of shopkeeping, actually if he’s treated just like a slave. Then of course a couple of Ramesh’s sons Sanjay and Alok, both surly about Fags, Mags, and Bags: Series 1-4: The BBC Radio 4 comedy series and not particularly keen on the old-school method of shopkeeping. Nevertheless, they will be the natural successors to the business, and Ramesh can be keen to move all his worldly wisdom to them – whether they enjoy it or not…
