The “Pubbers,” ten gifted social misfits, lay out one night to explore a couple of steam tunnels beneath their campus, end up captured by aliens, and are transported by space ship to some other planet. Hoping to come back house they pool their talents to construct a period machine. The get away plan is uncovered as well as the Pubbers find out that building these devices is why these were kidnaped in the first place. 5,000 years back they had promised their captors that they would build the device to save lots of their race from extinction. To go back home they must unravel what they’ve performed in the past, figure out an idea for the future, and go back home within an alien spacecraft, all while eluding two warring races. Basic, right?!….
