The Darkness War rages on, and a war weary Jonathon Hunter faces obstacles which only human beings can create, while an enemy which will keep growing stronger, is constantly on the force him to retreat. Saving humanity may be the objective, but can Jon be excused for considering some of it just doesn’t desire to be preserved? Extraordinary events need extraordinary reactions, but is definitely Jon still up to the challenge?

Humanity has it is bolt gap in another galaxy, and Jon on the subject of Hero to the End must end the aliens arriving there prior to the Door closes, so the survivors can be safe and sound. It’s his work to ensure no alien enters Outback, in spite of those attempting to be more aggressive, and take larger risks, with consequences he dreads happening.

In the end, Jon knows someone has to do the impossible, and perhaps even the unthinkable. The basic safety of humanity posesses price tag. Jon does know this. His team know this. But just Jon knows the true price to become paid.
