The Tragedy of Macbeth is a play written by William Shakespeare. Set primarily in Scotland, the play illustrates the harming physical and emotional effects of politics ambition on those that seek power for its personal sake. It had been most likely created during the reign of Adam I, who was simply James VI of Scotland before he succeeded to the English throne in 1603.
