Summary:
A collection of twenty-five poems on trust and ocd. Intrusive thoughts come up with what seems such as a million blinking warning lamps like those approaching all at one time on the car’s defective dashboard. None of them make sense but they all experience so real, therefore personal, yet therefore alien to the individuals heart, nature and beliefs. Struggling in silence, struggling to talk as it feels like no one will understand, or worse, that they can judge harshly… anxiousness levels soar… isolation comes after, even from God, because “He knows”. The thing is, He will understand. Brains glitchy can be like the car’s faulty dashboard. They are not our mind, and they’re not our center. The battle is very real as well as the steps taken up to overcome must be acknowledged, but the trip was never meant to be travelled only. These few poems certainly are a prayer voyage towards restored intimacy in the courts of Grace and in the basic safety of one’s concealing place, firmly tucked against His center, positioned for recovery.
