For thirty years the imaginary criminal offense novelist and detective Paul Temple, together with his Fleet Street journalist wife Steve, solved case after case in another of BBC Radio’s most well-known series. They inhabited a sophisticated world of chilled cocktails and fast cars, a world where Sir Graham Forbes, of Scotland Backyard, usually required Paul’s help with his most recent complicated case. Paul is contracted by one Maurice Lonsdale, whose brother-in-law was evidently killed in a vehicle accident whilst abroad. His widowed sister Margaret is definitely increasingly convinced that her hubby continues to be alive – and she wants Paul Temple to research! Paul and Steve find that their own lives are quickly in danger because they become embroiled within a deception extending from London to Switzerland.
