No longer only, Sam and Alec struggle to find time to continue their studies together. Sam knows that she actually is more than the lowborn she’d longer believed, today living and trained in the palace, but still doesn’t feel as if she quite fits in. Worse, it appears as if Alec has shifted without her, preferring his new lease of life in the college or university.

Alec has quickly risen in rank, but that only pulls attention to him.
