A gallery of friends, lovers, relatives and theatre acolytes sparkle around stage star Garry Essendine like bubbles in good champagne. While Garry problems to plan his upcoming trip to Africa, his elegant London toned is invaded by a like struck ingénue, an adulterous manufacturer and a wedded seductress–not forgetting Garry’s estranged wife Liz as well as the memorable Roland Maule, an aspiring playwright who’s quite, quite mad.
