Women have been told that getting pretty comes in the expense to be taken significantly. If a woman is physically attractive, there is usually a presumption that she does not have the material and smarts necessary to offer leadership running a business and other endeavors.

This narrative means that getting pretty and getting capable are mutually exclusive. But in Pretty Effective, Fox News politics commentator and legal analyst Eboni Williams rejects that narrative. She says that to simply accept the false notion that beauty and power are mutually exceptional is to keep an incredibly effective tool on the table.

Relating to Williams, the knee-jerk reaction for most women is usually to experience shamed from the potential advantage their beauty grants or loans them, but Williams says it’s alright for women to take full advantage of the most immediate and obvious attribute at their disposal, stimulating women to embrace their beauty as positive and powerful.
