But despite her successes, items aren’t going so well for Lexi and her friends-which is why they’re hiding out in the underworld. The god they rescued continues to be magically collared, unable to access his power. Even worse still, Lexi’s closest friend is similarly shackled, preventing her shape-shifting abilities.

Given that they have precisely zero collar-opening keys, they have to produce one-except the only one who can help them, the god of metalshaping, is dead. The good thing? Lexi’s already in the underworld, therefore she can try to find him. The bad information? The underworld isn’t exactly a meadow filled with butterflies, and venturing even deeper involved with it could be the quickest method to become listed on the ranks from the dead herself.

But also for her best friend, Lexi would journey through hell and back again. Equally well, because that’s exactly what she must do to save lots of her friend and their allies.
