Reminiscent of Humphrey Bogart’s personality “Rick Blaine” from the vintage film, Casablanca, Rocky Jordan was banished by opponents from St. Louis and relocated to Cairo, Egypt. Today living in North Africa, Rocky Jordan is the owner of and operates his gin joint (the Café Tambourine) and finds an assortment of mystery and intrigue while unwillingly moonlighting like a crime fighter. Cairo‘s Police Key, Sam Sabaaya, can be an Egyptian Muslim who totally adheres to the law. Often times, whenever a criminal offense can be about Rocky Jordan, Collection 1 committed, Jordan may be the primary believe — forcing him to resolve the criminal offense therefore he can apparent his name and save his throat. The writers (Larry Roman and Gomer Cool) strived to make a geniune North African feel to the show. All street brands used were factual as well as the theme featured Middle Eastern music by Richard Aurandt. There is an earlier version of the display called A Man Named Jordan that was near identical except Jordan resided in Istanbul, Turkey. Initial noticed in 1945, Rocky Jordan was sponsored for some of its run by Del Monte Foods.
