Ben Mears has returned to Jerusalem’s Lot in the expectations that surviving in a vintage mansion, long the subject of city lore, will help him solid out his personal devils and provide inspiration for his brand-new book. But when two youthful boys venture in to the woods and only one comes out alive, Mears starts to realize that there may be something sinister at work and that his hometown is under siege by pushes of darkness significantly beyond his control.
