It is 1916 and Sherlock Holmes has returned to his areas in Baker Road after going to the funeral of his very long time affiliate, Dr John H. Watson. Holmes shows over the old days and involves realise that not merely was there a lot that he had shared with Watson in his lifetime but also there was so much that he had not exposed to him: items he had held hidden, including his deep passion for his friend. Imagining that Watson is present, Holmes addresses this declining and details on areas of past cases and the various characters he came across during his investigations, including ‘The Girl’ Irene Adler and of course Professor Moriarty. Holmes delves deeper into the darker areas of his personal history, revealing at last a shocking key. Realising today how lonesome and isolated he is without his old comrade, adrift in a new modern and war-ravaged age, he comes to question whether, like Watson, he too has come to the finish of his time…
