Shortly after their mother’s death, sisters Maureen and Lesley are packing up their family home. It’s an agonizing responsibility, with Maureen trying to regulate the worst of Lesley’s projectile lamenting. A strange man knocks at the door and introduces himself as David Johnson, a friend of Maureen’s neighbour. But Lesley has additional tips and, behind Maureen’s back, gives David their mother’s old bedroom being a pied-a-terre. Maureen is definitely annoyed by Lesley’s effort, but David is certainly oblivious to the strain he has caused.

Gradually, he forces his way in to the sisters’ lives, turning up at inopportune moments and continuously getting back in their hair. As they both become increasingly fed up with him, Maureen and Lesley put aside their distinctions and unite to find out exactly who this David Johnson can be, and what he is hiding.

But when his key is finally revealed, the sisters are set for a shock…
