Once upon a time in the center of winter, when the flakes of snow were falling like feathers in the sky, a queen sat in a screen sewing, as well as the frame of the screen was made of black ebony. And whilst she was sewing and looking out of the screen on the snow, she pricked her finger with the needle, and three spots of blood fell upon the snow. As well as the crimson looked fairly upon the white snow, and she considered to herself, “Would that I experienced a child as white as snow, as reddish as blood, and as black as the solid wood of the window-frame.” Immediately after that she had a little daughter, who was as white as snow, and as reddish as bloodstream, and her hair was as black as ebony; and she was as a result called Small Snow White. And when the kid was created, the Queen passed away. A year later on, the King remarried a haughty and vain female and that’s when Snow White’s difficulties began.
