Like its predecessor Dragnet – Tales from the Texas Rangers adapted actual police case files for its broadcasts. Leading each week’s investigation of an actual Texas Ranger case was the same Texas Ranger, Jayce Pearson, portrayed by celeb Joel McCrea. As the tales were occur present day, Pearson used the most recent scientific ways to recognize thieves. Unlike Joe Fri, Pearson didn’t possess a regular partner, typically dealing with the local sheriff rather (who was usually about Tales of the Texas Rangers, Collection 2 portrayed by Parley Baer). Working environments would range from big towns to isolated wilderness areas that could just be reached on horseback. Produced and Directed by Stacy Keach, Sr. Stories of the Texas Rangers went from 1950 to 1952 and featured radio’s top supporting actors.
