Continuing the storyplot started in The Hobbit, this is actually the first a part of Tolkien’s epic masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings.

Sauron, the Dark Lord, provides gathered to him all the Bands of Power – the means where he intends to rule Middle-earth. All he lacks in his plans for dominion may be the One Ring – the band that rules all of them – which has fallen into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins.

Inside a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins discovers himself faced with an immense task, as his seniors cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his care and attention. Frodo must keep his home and make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Splits of Doom, there to destroy the Ring and foil the Dark Lord in his bad purpose.
